Sometimes it is required to block Customer’s ability to place orders. This feature allow to do that.
To block Customer go to System > Sales Block Rules in Magento Admin where you will find two records:
Manually Blocked Customers
This is used for manually adding customers that should be blocked either using their email address – if they try to place an order using that email OR by IP.
Automatic Block on Multiple Failed Payments
[alert]Do NOT ADD to this rule manually! Only remove if necessary.[/alert]
Customers are added to this rule automatically when system detects multiple consecutive payment fails.
Can we somehow still edit automatic block list?
Of cause 🙂 When I said “do not edit this rule manually” I actually meant “do not add to this rule manually”. I’ve not edited initial post. So feel free to remove emails or IPs from Automatic Block Rule.
