This feature allows to sort products in orders in custom order for more convenient order preparation and handling by warehouse employees. Sorting is applied in every occasion when order items (order product) are requested. This includes Order View Page in Magento Admin and Order Confirmation Email that is sent when order is registered.
Module Settings
Settings can be found under System > Configuration > Product Sorting in Sales Documents. Currently there’s only one section “Sales Order Item Sorting” which allows to apply sorting to Sales Order. Settings in this section should be self-explanatory.
