This feature is developed to help managers and warehouse employees notice that order was placed by a new customer, or at least first time using current email address provided by customer during checkout.
Feature is implemented using “Magforge_FirstTimeOrderNotification” Module.
Feature Settings
You can modify feature setting on this configuration page in Magento Admin.
Active – allows to completely disable this feature
Email Subject – allows to set a Subject of an email that is being sent as notification, for example you might want to draw attention and rename currently provided Subject.
Look for Orders with Statuses – when looking for previous orders placed using the same email address as current only orders with selected statuses will be evaluated. For example if you only select Processing and Complete here, then Cancelled and Pending orders will not be evaluated as previously placed orders.
Notification Email Template
Standard Magento email templating approach is used. Location of file responsible for rendering notification email: app/locale/en_US/template/email/magforge/first_time_order_notification.html
